What will you choose?

Dear Friend,

It’s the seemingly insignificant choices that can have a significant impact on the way we feel and function. One decision that personally challenges me is getting out of bed in the morning. When my alarm goes off, I have a choice. I can either choose to stay in my warm bed, or I can choose to get up and exercise. What I have learnt is that I function significantly better once I have exercised in the morning and the benefits are well worth getting up early for.

When you are faced with a decision, do you choose what feels good in the moment, or what will make you feel good in the future? In this week’s wellbeing education video “Power Up” we explore how small choices can have a big impact on our energy levels and our capacity to manage everyday life. Our brain is wired to keep us safe, not for our long-term health and happiness. With conscious focus, effort and social support, we can learn how to turn our hopes into our reality.

If you would like to join a group of individuals that are ready to feel and function better, then Growth Space is for you. This unique 8 week online learning experience has been designed to help you gain clarity and take action in your life. The group zoom sessions will be each Tuesday night: 7:30pm – 8:30pm, starting Tuesday 7th July. Click here to learn more and booking will close Friday 3rd July at 5pm.

As we face another week together, let’s reflect on the words of Brenė Brown; “Integrity is choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast, or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them.”

Until next time, be kind and take care,

Best wishes,
Meg
