When there is a significant gap between our expectations and our reality, we can easily become overwhelmed and disheartened by our situation. Alternatively, when we are able to realistically manage our expectations we will experience more hope, joy and success. For many of us, 2020 is unfolding in a way that we had not anticipated and we are being challenged to manage our expectations.
This week’s Wellbeing Video “Mind The Gap” explores the impact our expectations can have on the way we feel, function and relate. Having the ability to manage our expectations is a critical skill that we can develop to help improve our wellbeing.
If you’re inspired to experience more joy and less stress in your life, I warmly invite you to join my first online group wellbeing learning experience – GROWTH SPACE. This 8 week program has been designed to enable a limited number of individuals to make meaningful changes to the way you feel and function. The group sessions will be each Tuesday night: 7:30pm – 8:30pm, starting Tuesday 7th July. Click here to learn more.
As we face another week together, let’s reflect on the words of Eckhart Tolle: “The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation, but your thoughts about it.”
Until next time, be kind and take care,
